The Ramdash PRO ES-L690U-K is Panasonic's flagship model in the 2024 Ramdash PRO 6-blade lineup, finished in Craft Black. It pairs a 6-blade cutting system with AI+, the "Ramdash AI Navi" function, which Panasonic says can sense beard condition approximately 233 times per second and automatically adjust shaving power accordingly. The Navi LED indicates the shaver's mode in real time: orange for BOOST mode on denser beard areas, and white for SOFT mode on thinner areas.

The 6-blade system is driven by a linear motor running at approximately 14,000 strokes per minute, which Panasonic reports was the fastest linear motor drive in its shaver history at the time of the product's 2024 launch. The blade set pairs 30° sharp nano-edge inner blades with multi-fit arc outer blades, a smooth roller, a 45° sharp trimmer, and a dedicated chin-area trimmer blade. Panasonic states that the new ultra-thin blade design delivers approximately 50% higher per-blade cutting efficiency compared with its 2023 ES-LS9CX model, based on the company's own testing.

The close-adhesion 5D head uses a fixed/movable switching mechanism and a blade float mechanism to follow the contours of the face, spreading contact pressure over a wider area. Panasonic states this results in roughly 20% less skin burden compared with its own 5-blade PRO series shavers, owing to the larger outer-foil surface area of the 6-blade head.

As the top model in the series, the ES-L690U-K is the only version equipped with a Navi Monitor display and smart lock function, showing shaving performance results, remaining battery level, cleaning reminders, and blade-replacement timing.

The shaver is IPX7 waterproof, so it can be rinsed or used for both dry and wet shaving. It runs on a lithium-ion rechargeable battery with a 20-stage (5% increment) charge display. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour via the automatic cleaning charger or 2 hours via the USB-C adapter, and provides approximately 14 days of use based on 3 minutes of use per day. The included AC adapter supports automatic voltage switching from 100–240V.

Usage

No manual mode-switching is needed: the AI+ sensor and 5D head adjust automatically as you shave, with the Navi LED and Navi Monitor keeping you informed of the current mode, battery level, and maintenance needs.

Note: The sensor may not respond audibly — with no change in the motor's sound — depending on beard density or the presence of beard clippings inside the shaver head. This is normal and not a malfunction.
